Finance Administrator

Working schedule:
Monday to Friday 08.30-17.00 (38.75 hours per week)
Salary:
£25-£30k depending on experience
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join GDS Technologies, a leading manufacturer of fixed gas detection equipment. This is a full-time, permanent role supporting the Finance manager and wider management team throughout various responsibilities, ensuring our global client base of distributors, resellers, and end customers continue to receive a smooth efficient service.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate, with opportunities for further education and career growth.
About the role:
Provide financial administration support, including but not limited to:
- Support order processing and invoicing in both the service and sales departments
- Process and report on all aspects of the purchase ledger
- Credit control administration
- Credit card and expenses processing
- Maintaining client details, trading terms, payment terms, discount levels, credit limits etc.
- Regular communication with customers and suppliers
- Maintaining department processes and documentation
- Ensure accuracy of all documentation, including finance documentation e.g., sales orders, purchase orders, and invoices
- Stay up to date with GDS products and features
About you:
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Sage 50/200 (Sage 200 preferred, particularly within a manufacturing environment)
- Detail oriented
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Able to work using own initiative as well as working well within a team
- Good organisational and time management skills
Desirable:
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification
